Why do I always get outbid immediately?
You are always immediately outbid because the other bidder has set a **»maximum bid» (Maxbid)**. The bidding system on Auction Club is an automated system. When a bidder places a bid, they can specify the maximum amount they are willing to pay for the item.
How does the system work?
-
Someone places a bid that represents the maximum amount they are willing to pay, but this amount is not visible to anyone.
-
When you place a new bid, the system automatically raises the other person’s bid (the one with the maximum bid) to stay ahead of yours by the smallest possible increment, as long as your bid has not exceeded their maximum limit.
-
This continues until your bid is higher than the other person’s maximum bid.
This method ensures that the auction is won by the person who is genuinely willing to pay the highest price, without them having to constantly watch the auction.
